Abstrakt		Good nursing care is an essential human need. This was confirmed by extensive research conducted by the WHO Regional Office for Europe (1988). Patients are entitled to quality nursing as defined in the Declaration of Patients' Rights, published by the WHO Regional Office for Europe in 1994. Knowledge of different models and concepts of nursing care nurses to develop new systems of care, incorporating reliable and objective criteria for evaluating the quality of services received by their patients. This provides the nurse with opportunities for personal development, professional growth and more successful cooperation in the interdisciplinary health team. We present our new form for the registration of nursing care offered to patients attending the accident and emergency service of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana.
