Abstrakt     The migration parameters were calculated and studied in the space of migration variables as indicators of microevolutionary trends. The results obtained with the help of migration matrixes and a mathematical model give an estimation of the level of isolation of the Selška dolina population with respect to genetic migration. All analyses of the migration of the Selška dolina population have demonstrated a high level of genetic isolation; low migration results in less intensive changes in allele frequencies (66,99% endogamy). This fact, together with visible demographic factors such as isolation and small population, may prove quite alarming, particularly in the case of villages situated below Ratitovec. Small, isolated populations tend to become inbred; the pool of potential partners (marital distances are maximally 1-4 km) is limited to individuals who are related and have recent common ancestors. Local selection of a reproductive parnter leads to the formation, or at least tends toward the formation, of genetic isolates. Since isolation emphsizes the specific traits of a population, it may also lead to considerable biological differences. All the obtained results justify the need to continue with the next phasethe study of biological traits.
