Abstrakt		The purpose of the contribution is to give an up-dated classification of neuromuscular disorders and to offer a review of clinical pictures and diagnosis of these disorders. The presentation also displays genetic background of particular disorders and the possibilities of prenatal diagnosis. Finally, it shows the points of departure for causal treatment of neuromuscular disorders.
