Abstrakt		Biomedicina Slovenica (BS), the Slovene biomedical bibliographic database has been built and maintained by the Institute of Biomedical Informatics (IBMI) for more than twenty years. BS is built according to the Medline standards adjusted to local needs. BS is used for the following tasks: informatioon retrieval particularly for endemic topics, preparing individual and institutional bibliographies and recently serving as a base for a decision support system for biomedical research evaluation. Because of BS national importance, IBMI decided to offer it on the Internet. World Wide Web (WWW), one of the most popular Internet tools was chosen for the implementation. Programs that enabled access to BS by are generated dynamically, so BS on WWW is always up to date. Seven months after BS is accessible on WWW we noticed a great interest among the Slovene biomedical community.
