Abstrakt     From the clinical point of view the main disdvantage in removable denture rehabilitation is the resorption of the supportin bone tissue. Although resorption is a physiological process, it may be accelerated by elastic and plastic deformations of the acrylic denture base which occur as a result of chewing forces. The purpose of this study was to analyse the reinforcement effect of aramide fibres included in acrylic resin samples. The results show that one bunch of kevlar fibres contributes an increase of about 30% in flexural strength, while with two bunches the flexural strength is icreased by more than 40%.
