Abstrakt		It is the task of health nursing to help sick or healthly man with those activities which contribute to keep or regain health and which would be performed independently if one had enough strength, will and knowledge (Henderson, 1958). Hip fractures are most frequent in falls on the hip in partly or not enough mobile or demented proteges of the Home. postoperative rehabilitaion of the patient with osteosynthesis runs with disorders in behaviour and self-sufficiency. With the method of health nursing process and with different approaches of health nursing theories (DOROTHEAE OREM THEORY - model of self-sufficiency) we are able to find out the needs of the protege and look for the quality of life after the injury.
Izvleček		Naloga zdravstvene nege je pomagati bolnemu ali zdravemu človeku v tistih aktivnostih, ki pripomorejo k ohranitvi ali vrnitvi zdravja in bi jih človek opravil samostojno, če bi imel dovolj moči, volje in znanja (Henderson, 1958). Obkolčni prelomi v Domu upokojencev najpogosteje nastanejo pri padcu na bok, predvsem pri delno ali slabo pomičnih ter dementnih varovancih. Rehabilitacija po operativnem zdravljenju bolnika z osteosintezo se pri starostniku kaže v motnjah vedenja in samooskrbe. Z metodo procesa zdravstvene nege in različnih pristopov teorij zdravstvene nege (TEORIJA DOROTHEAE OREM - model samooskrbe), se približujemo varovancu, ugotavljamo njegove potrebe in iščemo kakovost po poškodbi.
