Abstrakt		Background. The authors deal with the introduction of endoscopic surgery in the Republic of Tatarstan, one of the 80 regions of Russian Federation. The implementation of the national programme of the development of endoscopic surgery helped solve the problems relating to manufacture, maintenance and service of endoscopic equipment, training of physicians, publishing, and seting up of an information centre. Results. Seventy-five surgical departments in the Republic of Tatarstan were provided with endosurgical equipment. During a 5-year period, 11,925 endoscopic operations were performed, and 456 physicians completed training courses in endoscopic surgery. A newspaper and a journal for surgeons began to be published.
Izvleček		Izhodišča. Avtorja obravnavata razvoj endoskospke kirurgije v Republiki Tatarstan, eni od 80 regij Ruske federacije. Nacionalni program endoskopske kirurgije je omogočil nabavo opreme, vzdrževanje, servisiranje, izobraževanje, publiciranje in ustanovitev informacijskega centra. Rezultati. Endoskopsko opremo ima 75 kirurških oddelkov. V zadnjih 5 letih je bilo opravljenih 11925 endoskopskih operacij, 456 zdravnikov pa je že uspešno opravilo tečaje endoskopske kirurgije. Začela sta izhajati časopis in strokovna revija za kirurge.
