| Abstrakt | | Data on menarcheal age were collected by a status quo method on a sample of 1250 girls from Ljubljana primary and secondary schools in school year 1991/92. Girls were inquired one month before or after birthday. Median age at menarche was calculated with probit analysis and was found to be 12,85 years. In all cases menarche occurred between 10 and 17 years. In comparison with data in years 1939/40, menarcheal age was 0,56 year or 6,7 months earlier and in comparison with 1981/82 only 0,05 year earlier.
