Abstrakt		Since current anticancer therapies are not always efficient, we have to find a new way of dealing with cancer. Research group at Department of Tumor Biology at Institute of Oncology in Ljubljana experiments they were confronted with great technical problem. Manual data processing took them a lot of time and did not enable them to overview results before experiment was over. To solve that problem a computer aided system was made. Software named PAPOE enables automatic measurement acquisition and data processing, overview, documentation, and evaluation of experiment. Hardware consists of electronic caliper MITUTOYO series 500 and I/O module card with programmable peripheral interface 8255. System has fulfilled all demands with which it was charged and is used at Institute. Research work is now faster, easier, more effective and more pleasureful.
