Abstrakt		The percentage of dissected lymph nodes bearing metastasis was found as another independent prognostic factor in centers where D2 lymphadenectomy has been established as a routine procedure in potentially curative resection (RO) of gastric cancer. We have demonstrated that percentage of dissected lymph nodes bearing metastasis represent an independent prognostic factor also in the cases when less than 15 lymph nodes were dissected, the situation in which pN category of UICC TNM classification fails to be an accurate prognostic factor for survival.
