Abstrakt		On the basis of the results of palynological researches we sampled the spruce's root apexes in frosty hollows and mountain (highland) vegetation to be able to find out if besides the taxa of P. abies (L.) Karst. subsp. abies in present period in Slovenia also appears the P. abies (L.) Karst. subsp. obovata (Ledeb.) Hulten. The starting researches show that the caryotype stated on our material does not fully correspond to that shown in literature and that on the material from Šijec (Pokljuka) appear some particles that could be flying of satellites or even B-chromosomes that some authors consider typical of taxa P. abies subsp. obovata.
Izvleček		Na osnovi rezultatov palinoloških raziskav smo na mraziščnih in altimontanskih rastiščih vzorčili koreninske vršičke smreke, da bi na ta način ugotovili, ali se pri nas tudi v sedanjem obdobju poleg taksona Picea abies (L.) Karst. subsp. abies pojavlja tudi Picea abies (L.) Karst. subsp. obovata (Ledeb.) Hulten. Začetne raziskave kažejo, da se kariotip, ugotovljen na našem materialu, ne ujema povsem s prikazanim v literaturi ter da se pri materialu s Šijca (Pokljuka) pojavljajo delčki, ki bi bili lahko odletavajoči sateliti ali pa tudi B-kromosomi, sicer po nekaterih avtorjih značilni za takson Picea abies subsp. obovata.
