Abstrakt		On-line analytical processing (OLAP) aims at enabling more sophisticated analytical manipulation of data. It also represents a platform for building new decision support applications. The paper discusses the possibilities for using OLAP tools and techniques in the following domains: health insurance, health care cost control, patient record data analysis and clinical decision support. Some practical examples built with Oracle Express OLAP tools will be shown at the presentation. The main purpose of the paper is to show that although OLAP is currently mostly used in the financial and marketing sectors, there is a great potential for using OLAP in medicine and health care.
