Abstrakt		Nowhere in the Code of Medical Deontology of Slovenia and the Law on Medical Activities is the concept of "medical error" expressly stated. Both documents list the duties of doctors and medical institutions towards the patient as the subject of the treatment process. Some of the articles of the Law on Medical Activities also prescribe a code, which is one of the rare examples of such type of legislation. In the paper the authors describe how both documents relate to medical error and dealing with it.
