Abstrakt		Medical error is variation in process of care due to negligence, inappropriate risk taking without patient consent or inappropriate use of medical science and where is causal link between the process variation and bad autcome. Detection and compensation of the variation is part of selfregulatory mechanisms in quality improvement systems in health care. Continous detection, prevention and correction of small mistakes brings apart from moral and financial compensation for the even much greater benefit to the users and the whole society.
