Abstrakt		The widespread use of immunohistological techniques in all areas of pathology calls for their standardisation and quality control in order to prevent erors and mistakes in the diagnostic process. The standardisation of immunohistological techniques should focus on tissue fixation, antigen discovery, the antibodies used, reaction, visualisation systems, and appropriate controls. Standardisation and quality control are also important in the evaluation of immunohistological results. They are ensurd by the knowledge and critical approach of the expert.
