Abstrakt		The author reviews the most important steps in the supportive treatment of severely burned children, based upon the recent pathophysiological findings. The importance of continous treatment is emphasized, starting with effective fluid replacement by means of colloid containing solutions according to Galveston formula, continuing with early enteral feeding with calories and protein rich diet and ending with prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of infection.
