Abstrakt		Five molars of extinct elephants from unknown locations in Serbia have been researched. On the basis of the description, the measured and calculated parameters, the position of molars in the jaw as well as the genus and the species of the mollar have been determined. The age of the elephants at the time of their death has been estimated on the basis of the degree to wich the molars are worn down. The examined molars belong to the species Mammuthus primigenius and Mammuthus trogontherii-primigenius.
