Abstrakt		The authors present a patient with severe coronary artery disease who suffered acute inferoposterior myocardial infarction. The first three days of rehabilitation were uneventful, but on the fourth day the patient showed a sudden onset of pulseless electrical acitivty. Caridiopulmonary resuscitation was unsuccessful and the patient died. The authors emphasize the role of bedside echocardiography for detection of mechanical complications of acute myocardial infarction, and coronary angiography for determination of the severity of coronary artery disease.
Izvleček		Avtorja opisujeta bolnika s hudo koronarno boleznijo, ki je prebolel akutni srčnomišični infarkt spodnje in zadnje stene. prvi trije dnevi po prebolelem srčnomišičnem infarktu so potekali brez zapletov. Četrti dan je nenadoma prišlo do elektromehanske disociacije. Kardiopulmonalno oživljanje ni bilo uspešno. Poudarjena je pomembnost ehokardiografije pri odkrivanju mehaničnih zapletov akutnega srčnomišičnega infarkta in koronarografije pri opredelitvi stopnje koronarne bolezni.
