| Abstrakt | The results of the already completed prospective studies investigating the impact of the environment, nutrition and habits of life on health show that the antioxidant vitamins C, E and beta carotene, and the trace element selenium play, as free radical scavengers, an important role in the prevention of certain diseases. Thus, the supplementary intake of these micronutrients is important since they enable natural protection of the cell against the damaging effects of free radicals. | |
