Abstrakt		Two methods for acceleation of ray scene intersection tests in a ray-tracing environment are presented. One is the general-purpose hierarchy of bounding volumes (HBV) and the other is the specialized height-field rendering technique. Both methods were realized in the raytracing program and are here evaluated. Certain extensions of the methods are presented and so are directions for future research.
