Abstrakt		A text-to-speech system, capable of synthesising continuous Slovenian speech from an arbitrary input text is described. The software only TTS system is based on concatenation of basic speech units,diphones, using TD-PSOLA technique. Input text is processed by a series of modules and thus gradually transformed into its spoken equivalent. Different modules, constituting the TTS system are described in detail. Finally, adequacy of spoken messages is assessed in terms of acceptability and intelligibility.
