Abstrakt		A fatal connatal EBV infection in a full term girl is presented. There were relapsing haemolitic anaemia and thrombocytopenia as the main clinical manifestations. Infection was documented with indirect immunofluorescent test (specific IgM, IgG anti-VCA and IgG anti-EA) in both, mother and child, and with EBV DNA hybridization in the neonate.
