Abstrakt		Cancer of the urinary bladder can present in a superficial or muscle - invasive form. The first involves only the superficial part of the urinary bladder wall, the second invades deeper into the muscle part of the wall and often spreads to other organs. At the beginning also this type of tumour is probably superficial, but is often poorly differentiated and has a tendency to invade into deeper layers. Superficial urinary bladder cancer is more frequent than all other forms of urinary bladder cancer, therefore we discuss its treatment separately. Transurethral resection is necessary for confirmation of the diagnosis and for choice of treatment. To prevent recurrences and tumour progression; intravesical instillations with cytotoxic or imunotherapeutic drugs are used(1). In this paper we describe the every day praxis in treatment of superficial urinary bladder cancer and some new promising possibilities, which are still in clinical trials found in the literature reports.
