Abstrakt		The indications for the total and partial cystectomy are presented. During the years 1987 - 1991 83 patients, aged from 36 to 80 years (average 61 years), 64 men and 19 women, with invasive bladder carcinoma were operated at the Urological Clinical, Clinical Centre Ljubljana. Total cystectomy was done in 48 patients and partial cystectomy in 14. 5-years survival rate of these patients was 34%: 27% for the patients after the total cystectomy and 57% for those with partial cystectomy.
