Abstrakt     The aim of this study was to access importance of arm movements on stability of standing, compared to crossed arm standing. Special apparatus, active rolatational frame simplifies standing, since legs including both thigh, shank and pelvis represent single passive link of body structure. Trunk as second active segment of the body (which is trated as double inverted pendulum) structure can provide necessary stability. The experiments were made with five male able-bodied subjects during three day trial period. Comparsion of standing with free arms to the standing with crossed arms indicates insignificant ankle torque changes and thus small (neglegible) importance of arm activity for balancing capabilities in unsupported standing.
