Abstrakt		Long-term electrical stimulationof abdominal muscles has been applied in five healthy subjects to evaluate its effects on total pulmonary ventilation and the comeout to the respect of changed oxygen delivery and consumption. A distinctive increase in the total pulmonary ventilation has been observed in the first ten minutes after the onset of the stimulation but later on, the respiratory regulation system greatly influences the ventilation.
