Abstrakt		Dr. Josip Ipavec, composer and doctor, is only one member of the important Slovene family Ipavec which gave many doctors and musicions. Some of his compositions were higly appreciated by the prominent musicions like Leoš Janaček, Alexander Zemljinsky and Wilhelm Kienzel. His largest score is the opera Princesa Vrtoglavka-Clack-brained Princess. He was considered "Slovene Mozart" by the Germans. In this article the family Ipavec is introduced, its doctors - musicions, and especially the most important one - Joseph Ipavec.
