Abstrakt		The article represents the major methods of determination of the quality of life after an open heart surgery. The quality of diagnostics, surgical work and postoperative care is directly realted to the quality of life. The scientific honesty and the objective results are both evaluation of surgical work. The ambitionof the surical team to enable the cardiovascular patient to start a "new life" after an open heart surgery is the major component of better quality and is a necessary principle of the way of work in modern medicine.
