Abstrakt     Evidence-based medicine is a new way of practising medicine. It is built on an awareness of the limitations and inconvencience of traditional determinants of clinical decisions and an expansion of new evidence from systematic research. Evidence-based medicine is the conscientious, explicit and judicious use of current best evidence in making decisions about the care of individual patients. Practising it means integrating individual clinical expertise with the best available external evidence. Evidence-based medicine demants new skills from the physician, including efficient literature searching and the application of rules ror estimation of evidence. it is believed that the practice of evidence-based medicine will result in a significant improvement of individual and population medical care.
