Abstrakt		This text briefly describes the findings to be expected with single fibre EMG (SFEMG) in muscle that was partially or completely denervated and reinnervated either by collateral sprouting or by axonal regeneration. It focuses on SFEMG evidence of both structural and functional changes seen in reinnervating and, partly, in degenerating motor units over time. SFEMG may provide valuable insight into the dynamics of these processes, however additional information obtained with other techniques, such as Macro-EMG as well as conventional, particularly quantitative, EMG is usually needed for proper evaluation.
