Abstrakt		The assignment treats the proposals of personal physicians for the spa sevices in the District of Ljubljana. It states the part of directions being denied by 1st level medical board and tries to establish the reasons of incorrect directions or denials. The sample that has been analysed to answer the questions comprised of 400 incidentally selected proposals. The analysed data were connected with the directing physician and with the insurees. It has been established that 65,7 + 0,05% proposals for spa services have been denied by the 1 st level medical board in District Ljubljana ( *P (more than 0,05). The main two reasons for the denial are spa services carried out in the last two years and the directions that are not in accordance with the indications defined by the Regulations on compulsory health insurance. As both reasons are clearly stated in the Regulations published in The Official Gazette of The Republic of Slovenia No.79/94 there are two reasons: either the personal physicians are not acquainted with the Regulations or they are acquainted with it but prefer to transfer it to the 1st level medical board.
