Abstrakt | The article stresses the significance of social care for the elderly, particularly those with well preserved physical and mental potentials. In the developed world vital elderly signify wealth, their social contribution is estimated according to performance and their chronological age is not important. The University for the Third Life Period in Ljubjana follows the tendencies of advanced societies to reintegrate the elderly into social life. In its educational programmes their psychological and social capabilities and interests are taken into account. Ever more elderly are motivated for various education forms through up-to-date andragogical approaches. It is not enough that the issues of the elderly are brought into awareness only in the year dedicated to them. We are all gradually approaching this period of life. Let's see to it that it be satisfied and rich spiritually. | |
