Abstrakt     The contribution represents an attempt to give a comparison between the yeast frequency isolations, obtained from the surgical department for reanimation (patients especially susceptible for infections with opportune microorganisms), and the frequency of the yeast isolations from the materials obtained from the internal intensive ward and "non-intensive surgical" wards. In the survey the samples from all three wards from the years 1997 and 1998 are included. The share of the isolated fungi is the highest in the internal intensive ward (29 percents of the positive isolated items); in the surgical department for reanimation the share comes to 17 percents and in the "non-intensive" surgical wards to 5,7 percents. As was to be expected, the most frequently isolated fungus in all three wards is C. albicans, which is in the surgical department for reanimation turning up in 69percents, in the internal intensive ward in 70percents and in "non-intensive" surgical wards in 53 percents. The second most frequently isolated fungus in the surgical department for reanimation and in the internal intensive ward is C. glabrata (11 percents resp.14 percents). The third most frequently isolated fungus in the surgical department for reanimation is C. krusei (5 percents), which, however, is in the internal intensive ward appearing in a surprisingly low share below 1percents. Similar to the other parts of the world, in a bit higher percentage also the other non-albicans types are appearing, among them especially C. tropicalis and C. parapsilosis.
