Abstrakt | On the Meža river, from its source to mouth in the river Drava, a sampling of periphyton was carried out at eleven sampling points at month intervals. Determination of species, their saprobic degree, seasonal dynamics and Pantle-Buck saprobic index and Bray-Curtis coefficient of similarity, were carried out. In May, August and October 1991 were measured the physicochemical variables. According to the results, the Meža river, including its physicochemical variables, can be devided into different parts. The physicochemical variables show the biggest pollution in the eightst sampling point while periphyton shows the second quality class from the fourth to the eleventh sampling point.Though these analyses the biggest polluters of the Meža river were proved: Rudnik Mežica, Tovarna Lepenke Prevalje, Čistilnica Ravne, Železarna Ravne, klavnica Mesnina Otiški vrh. The quality improvement of the Meža river could be reached by installing the treatment plants for the municipial and industrial waste water. | |
