Abstrakt     The group of patients with 264 uncemented total tip prostheses of two types (ISO RM and RCM) was analysed with regard to the predisposing factors and the functional state before and after the operation. We were also interested in the data concerning the duration of intervention, blood loss and the dimension of implanted prostheses. The search for early and late postoperative complications was made. We succeeded to follow 213 cases for a minimum of 18 months. Meticolous clinical evaluation of mobility, walking and pain with precise radiological examination of the operated hip was carried out. Major late complications that needed surgical reinterventions occurred in 10,8 per cent of ISO THP and in 16,2 per cent of RCM THP. On the basis of D Aubigne Postel scoring both uncemented prostheses show significant postoperative improvement with higher per cent of early postoperative complications in RCM TPH.
