Abstrakt | Markedly diverse and numerous bacterial and animal associations live in the relatively thin forest floor that gathers dead plant and animal remnants. By their mutual cooperatio these associations transform organic remnants into humus and during this process change minerals into nutrients. After the products of forest associations areused, they are again returned to production. We speak of the cycle of matter. Were this not to happen, the forest itself would choke on its own "Waste". A lesson to Man who fills rubbish dumps with waste, pollutes his environment, and thus endangers his own existance? | |
