Abstrakt		In the report overall environmental problems of small settlements around capital city Ljubljana, with special focus on use and protection of water sources and wildlife protection areas was worked out. As an example, community of Brezovica was investigated in details as streams, lakes, springs, water biocoenosis, wastewater and purification. A sustainable water management solutions are recomended.
