Abstrakt     A characteristic of ecosystems is the extreme biodiversity of the organic world. Why so much biodiversity? Ecologists help to answer this question by the concept of niches that determine the site and action of an individual species among the countless others. The activities of all species, or of their populations, from an ecological balance. There are safeguards in the interpopulational proportions that preserve the basic ecosystem processes, matter circulation, and energy flow.
