Abstrakt		Apart from having geriatric complaints, elderly persons institutionalized in homes for the aged are susceptible to multiple diseases. The great concentration of elderly persons with physical and psychic problems in such homes demands a specific organization of health care, nursing care and rehabilitation. Institutionalization at the home for aged means a significant change in the life style of each individual and requires a period of adjustment. Their new situation demands the help of numerous specialists from different fields.
