Abstrakt     In the majority of Slovenian hospitals the patients, who are brought to the emergency room, have to be transported to the remote places for further diagnostic procedures such as X - ray, CT scans etc. These transportation are necessary and the time spent for them is critical time for the patient. Any kind of complications either of technical or organizational can threaten the patient's life. We are nowadays able to monitor basically all the patient's vital functions during the transportation. The time pressure, many technical devices and even a lot of personal can be the reason for a possibly fatal mistake. It is important to stress how much a well prepared and stabile patient can benefit from transportation, material preparation and coordination with other services that care of badly injured patients. The so called "golden hour" should not be neglected and lost with unnecessary complications such as technical details or insufficient knowledge of the machine. Financial part of our work should not be overlooked. Therefore we should take into considerations what examinations have to be done. All the complications should be promptly solved. Our work can be more expensive if we do not care about the machines or use too much material.
