Abstrakt		The authors compared the results of acoustic analysis of corner vowels in three groups of children: 20 children with cleft palate, 20 children with cleft lip and palate, and 20 age-matched healthy children. Some significant differences were detected in the articulation of the vowel /i/. The differences could reflect a more backward-shifted site of articulation and a loss of acoustic energy inside the vocal tract in children with a cleft. A different mode of articulation might be a consequence of the malformation and a changed motor pattern which has developed as an adaptation to the anatomical situation.
Izvleček		Avtorji so primerjali rezultate akustične analize ogliščnih samoglasnikov med tremi skupinami: 20 otrok s palatoshizo, 20 otrok s heilognatopalatoshizo in 20 zdravih otrok enake starosti. Ugotovili so značilne razlike zlasti v oblikovanju glasu /i/, kar je verjetno odraz bolj nazaj pomaknjene izreke samoglasnika ter večje izgube zvočne energije v vokalnem traktu pri otrocih s shizo. Drugačen način oblikovanja glasov je verjetno posledica anatomsko spremenjenih razmer v ustni votlini in tudi spremenjenih motoričnih vzorcev, ki nastajajo kot prilagoditev na te razmere.
