Abstrakt		The author describes an early breeding by Tawny Owl Strix aluco at Tivoli City Park in Ljubljana. He believes that the owl began to breed in the second half of January, for a nestling that was not yet capable to fty was found out of the nest on March 16žh 1998. The author also deals with the problem of the young owls being endangered in such environments, pointing particularly at the freely running dogs, which often destroy the young owls, and at ignorant people who frequently take the found young to the animal asylum or to the zoo.
Izvleček		Avtor opisuje zgodnje gnezdenje lesne sove Strix aluco v ljubljanskem mestnem parku Tivoli, za katero ocenjuje, da je začela gnezditi v drugi polovici januarja, saj je bil 16.3.1998 zunaj gnezda že najden mladič, ki pa še ni znal leteti. Avtor se dotika tudi problematike ogroženosti sovjih mladičev v takšnih okoljih, pri kateri je izpostavil dva problema: prosto sprehajajoči se psi, ki pokončajo mlade sove, in nevedni ljudje, ki najdene mladiče odnašajo v azil ali živalski vrt.
