Abstrakt		Cardiac arrhythmias are divided into fatal and non-fatal. Concerning non-fatal arrhythmia, the question is whether it produces clinical symptoms or arises as a consequence of some other disease (myocardial infarction, cardiac tamponade, bleeding, sepsis, etc.). It needs treatment before the arrival to hospital. Pre-hospital emergency doctors require uniform instructions on how to react in cases of various types of cardiac arrhythmias. A general practitioner - family doctor and a pre-hospital emergency doctor differ in their work and in their need for diversified knowledge, and regretfully, they are also differently equipped with technical instruments. The regulations of emergency medical help confirm these differences (by having been published in the Official Gazette they are also legalised). Needs for effective measures will most probably increase. The only way to satisfy them successfully someday will be by specialisation in emergency medicine.
