Abstrakt     Cardiac arrhythmias are the most common complications of the exercise EKG test. Atrial arrhythmias are not rare during the test. They are, however, considered to be clinically insignificant. Similarly, occasional Ventricular Premature Contractions are relatively common even in healthy subjects. Most of Ventricular Premature Contractions disappear at higher heart rates. When Ventricular Premature Contractions become more frequent during exercise, and are multifocal or grouped, they have a more definite association with coronary artery disease. Ventricular tachycardia and fibrillation can lead to sudden death, which does not happen very often. Various bradyarrhythmias may also occur, but they are extremely uncommon. Coronary artery disease may also alter the conduction process, depending on severity and location of ischemia, and needs individual interpretation.
