Abstrakt		Many patients with headache worry that they might have a brain tumour. Physicians know that such concerns are almost always groundless. In rare cases, however, headache does indirate a brain tumour and our task is to recognize them. Therefore, we must know how many people with brain tumours have a headache, what are the mechanisms that produce a headache, which types or locations of tumours cause headache more frequently, what are the characteristics of headache assoctiated with brain tumours, what patient types have an increased possibility of brain tumour and which patients require special investigation.
Izvleček		Mnoge bolnike z glavobolom skrbi, da imajo možganski tumor. V večini primerov zdravniki vemo, da je takšna bojazen brez osnove. Redko glavobol res napove možganski tumor, naloga zdravnika pa je, da takšen glavobol pravočasno prepozna. Za lažje prepoznavanje tumorskih glavobolov moramo vedeti, koliko ljudi z možganskim tumorjem ima glavobol, kakšni so mehanizmi glavobola pri možganskih tumorjih, katere vrste in lokalizacije tumorjev pogosteje povzročajo glavobol, kakšne so značilnosti glavobola pri možganskih tumorjih, kateri bolniki z glavobolom imajo možnost, da bodo imeli možganski tumor, in kateri bolniki z glavobolom potrebujejo specifično diagnostiko.
