Abstrakt     The cost-effectiveness of different Varroa jacobsoni treatment strategies was studied using decision tree analysis adjusted to and apiary of thirty honeybee colonies. Three treatment strategies and four different chemical substances (Bayvarol, Apilife-var, formic acid and Apitol) were analysed. The strategies comprised winter treatment and spring treatment with and without preliminary diagnostic acaricide fumigation. It turned out that the lowest treatment costs can be expected when formic acid is used; this applies to any level of infestation of a bee colony. The calculated expected costs of spring formic acid treatment together with preliminary diagnostic fumigation amounted to US$ 140, while the expected costs of formic acid treatment without fumigation amounted to US$ 133. Winter "Apitol" application was found more expensive (US$ 149) than the spring treatments. It appears that the best choice from the economic point of view is routine spring treatment with formic acid without preliminary diagnostic fumigation. And the most expensive control methods in havely infested colonies are in the autumn. The reliability of different Varroa jacobsoni control methods is discussed.
Izvleček     Z uporabo metode "drevo odločitve" smo ugotavljali stroške različnih postopkov zatiranja zajedalca Varroa jacobsoni v čebelnjaku s tridesetimi čebeljimi družinami (Apis mellifera). Analizirali smo tri postopke zatiranja ob uporabi štirih različnih kemičnih substanc v zdravilih (Bayvarol, Apilife-var, formic acid and Apitol). V prispevku obravnavamo in vrednotimo stroške različnih metod zatiranja V. jacobsoni.
