Abstrakt		The occurence of the number of infectious diseases in searching of the most important database in the field of medicine MEDLINE is reviewed. The bibliographic data were selected from 1966 unitl now. The time intervals, that were included are: 1966, 1970. 1980, 1986, 1990, 1996 and the end the last complete year 1999. Some of them can be find in all time periods, but the bibliographic data of the others can be find only in some of them. The latter newly appeared in the database MEDLINE. The frequently of the bibliographic data is showed, when the name of appointed infectious disease is to be find in journal title. As the consequence of this findings, the medical librarians can male easier decision for bying periodicals.
