Abstrakt		Health care costs are increasing in all developed countries. In spite of locating relatively more money to health, all needs cannot be satisfied because of ever increasing costs. Higher costs are due to rapid technological changes, demographic changes and different way of living. The best method of allocating resources across different health care programs in the sense of maximising benefits and at the same time ensuring the possibility of fair distribution, seems to be cost-utility analysis. If we aware of its disadvantages and keep them in our mind it allows us to allocate the given resources across different health care without big mistakes that would disrupt wished allocation.
Izvleček		V vseh razvitih državah stroški na področju zdravstva izredno naraščajo. Kljub povečanim stroškom zaradi spremenjenega načina življenja ljudi, demografskih sprememb in hitrega tehnološkega razvoja vseh potreb ne moremo zadovoljiti. Pri poizkusih, da bi omenjena denarna sredstva razporedili tako, da z njimi maksimiramo koristi, hkrati pa zagotovimo kolikor se da pravično alokacijo, se je za najboljšo metodo za postavljanje prioritet izkazala analiza stroškov in koristnosti. Z upoštevanjem njenih pomanjkljivosti lahko dana sredstva med zdravstvene programe razdelimo tako, da ne bo prišlo do aloksacijskih nepravilnosti.
