Abstrakt     Prognostic value of risk factors in breast cancer is a rather unexplored field, apart from factors as age, parity and obesity. In the present study, the author investigates the prognostic value of 15 more or less widely accepted risk factors using univariate analysis and observing at the same time the prognostic value of several widely accepted prognostic factors (size and site of the primary, axillary lymphnode involvement, malignancy grade). The data from medical documentation of 289 patients with operable breast cancer and ten-year follow-up records after inital radical local treatment were used in the investigation. The results indicate that advancing age, longer menstrual periods, longer menstrual cycles and increasing number of deliveries can be regarded as unfavourable prognostic signs, although their prognostic value is incomparable to that of the observed prognostic factors
