Abstrakt		Loss of teeth is a common problem in middle-aged subjects. It may cause psychological stress and result in bruxism and disorders of the temporomandibular joint. Estetic problems in the anterior section are associated. The article presents three patients who experienced all above-mentioned difficulties. Before prosthetic rehabilitation, they required orthodontic treatment and other preparatory procedures, including periodontal surgery, root canal treatment and management of bruxism with the use of the Bruxi appliance. The treatment proved successful and the psychological problems disappeared. Dentists tend to underestimate the emotional aspect of their patients' problems. Psychological stress can be relieved if the dentist talks to his patients and explains to them the nature of their troubles in a professional yet understandable way. Aesthetic prosthetic rehabilitation may be regarded as a method of psychothetrapy in the management of bruxism.
